How to Launch an App on Google Play
Create the developer account, build a signed release, complete the store listing and policy declarations, then test before production. A new personal account usually has to run a closed test first.
Have this ready
- A developer account with verified identity
- A signed AAB and upload key
- Listing assets and a privacy policy
Step by step
- 1Register a Play Console developer account and complete identity verification.
- 2Create the app record with the package name, which cannot be changed later, and the default language.
- 3Prepare a signed Android App Bundle with a target SDK at or above Play's current requirement.
- 4Complete the store listing: title, short and full description, icon, feature graphic and screenshots.
- 5Fill in the policy declarations: privacy policy, data safety, content rating and target audience.
- 6Run the required testing track if this is a new personal account, and collect the required testers.
- 7Roll out to production in stages and watch crash and ANR reports after release.
Want it done with you?
I can walk you through it in a Magic Box, show you the exact clicks, or do it with you and keep the recording. You log in yourself; I never see your password.
Common questions
Can I change the package name after publishing?+
No. It is permanent for that app, so choose it carefully and keep the signing key safe.
How long does review take?+
Often a few days, sometimes longer for new accounts or sensitive permissions. Do not publish an update during a review.
What if my app is rejected?+
Read the policy reference in the rejection, fix that specific issue and submit again. Appealing without a fix usually fails.
